VENTON UNIBOX HD ECO HOW TO
Per my limited knowledge, the big effort in the HTTPS session is when it is established, then it is relatively lightweight (hence easy on the CPU).Ĥ) Any other idea on how to enable such a secured communication and/or to perform transcoding on the box? If transcoding would work, then the OpenVPN solution could be used, as the traffic would be significantly smaller.ĭas VU+ Plugin fuktioniert gut, aber nur wenn die Authentifizierung durch HTTP geht wenn HTTPS eingeschaltet wurde, erkennt das Kodi den Stream nicht mehr

pyo, which I guess is compiled Python code, hence not editable.Ģ) Is there any (more customizable) alternative for OpenWebIf?ģ) Would it be possible to get a newer build which enables end-to-end HTTPS (authentication and stream transmission)? This would mean a https link inside the m3u and an up-to-date encryption method for the web server. If I try to change it manually to and then play the file, VLC cannot open the MRL.ġ) How can I adjust the options of OpenWebIf, apart from the basic ones set in the menu? I was checking the /usr/lib/enigma2/python/ files, but everything there is. m3u file the link is still hence no encryption.
VENTON UNIBOX HD ECO PC
From a PC browser I can authenticate and open a stream in VLC. Kodi (the curl client which pulls the URL, actually) complains that the cipher used by the web server on the Unibox is insecure (RC4-SHA) and refuses to establish a connection.ī. I set up HTTPS authentication in the OpenWebIf. As a result, the CPU is 100% used on both the router and the receiver and the image freezes every other second. I set up the OpenVPN clients on the Unibox and on the Windows PC and the server on my router (everything connected via 1 Gbps cable).Ĭommunication works fine, BUT - as transcoding is not possible, the stream runs at 11-14 Mbps, which is a huge amount of traffic to be encrypted/decrypted. Now the problem is I want to do this in a (relatively) secure way.
VENTON UNIBOX HD ECO WINDOWS 10
I am trying to set up a (relatively) secure communication over internet, with the Unibox as a server for streaming and a Kodi instance on Windows 10 as the client (and possibly other devices, but the Kodi is the most important). I have a Venton Unibox HD eco+, with the OpenATV nightly from 20151020.

The integration into the home network as well as the possible Internet connection round off the overall package of the Unibox HD eco+.Ich spreche auch ein bißchen Deutsch, will ich mich aber nicht beschämen. Not only USB PVR recordings are possible, but also direct recordings on an optional internal 2.5" inch hard disk (Attention: delivered without PVR function). In addition, the HD eco+ with the new processor is characterised by fast switching times, clear menu navigation, extensive setting and expansion options and outstanding HD picture quality. It is delivered with a built-in 2x DVB-C/T2 HDTV tuner.
